One fine afternoon, my childhood friends and i decided to catch up to get updates from each other's lives. And what better way to bond with friends than by going to food trips and eating our hearts out?
These are my friends from elementary and high school that up to this day, i still talk to. Over the years, its safe to say that a lot has happened and i believe that we are not the same people as we were 10 or 15 years ago. We evolved and changed. I'm just grateful that our friendship remains the same. Although we now have different beliefs and we don't see everything eye to eye, we still respect and support each other.
Tamp Cafe
First stop in our list is Tamp Cafe. It is not my first time dining here but i always make sure to try different dishes in their menu. We arrived at the cafe past noon so we only ordered some cakes and drinks. my favorite is the yema cake despite it being the sweetest among the three cakes we ordered. I paired my cake with a hot tea since im not a fan of cold beverages.
The interior of the cafe is very aesthetically pleasing especially this mural painting on the wall. Food is great too!
We stayed here for a good 4 hours of talking and bantering just like the old days but this time, our topics range from childish to serious adulting, wholesome to not-so-wholesome, and just life in general.
Barangay Seoul Express
It's almost dinner time but we're still enjoying ourselves talking so we decided to have dinner at a nearby Korean restaurant. Barangay Seoul Express offers a variety of Korean dishes in meal set. I feel like i'm eating at a school cafeteria in Korea because of their utensils. The only downside in this restaurant is the crowd making the place too humid.
Tealive
Since the atmosphere at Barangay Seoul was hot, we found ourselves craving for something cold to drink. That's when Tealive milktea came to the rescue! I'm not a huge fan of milkteas but at that time, this was the only place available where we could chat so we bought ourselves some milktea and continued chatting.
It's past 9 pm and we now have to go home. I'm a little bit sad because we don't know when we'll hang out again but at the same time im grateful that we still kept in touch through these years.
That's it for today's blog! See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
