I hope everyone’s having a joyful day filled with good food and happy moments. Yesterday’s lunch was extra special for me because my boyfriend took charge of the kitchen again, something he loves to do whenever he’s home in Bulacan for the weekend. Since his work keeps him in Manila during weekdays, weekends become our time to bond over meals he lovingly prepares.
Our Viands for Lunch:
1. Fried Fish & Fried Shrimps: Crispy, golden, and made even tastier with his homemade toyomansi dip. That perfect balance of salty soy sauce and tangy calamansi always brings out the flavor of fried dishes.


2. Kilawing Hipon with Peanuts: This was the star of the table! The fresh shrimps marinated in vinegar and spices were already delicious, but the addition of peanuts gave it a unique crunch and nutty flavor that elevated the dish.

It’s these simple yet thoughtful touches that make our meals memorable. I truly appreciate how he makes sure our weekends are filled with food that’s not only satisfying but also prepared with love.
