There are simple days that have little surprises...
Just small moments but become extra special because of sweet gestures.
Today... I'd like to share a few simple snapshots..

A Giant Kamoteng Kahoy from My Parents

My parents asked if we wanted some kamoteng kahoy from their harvest. Of course, we said yes! It's a blessing. That morning, they brought it over and I was surprised at how big the cassava was. The biggest one weighed around three kilograms. Since I love cooking it with coconut, I also asked them to bring some. And here it is, I can already imagine how delicious this will turn out. 🤤

Flower from a Little Admirer

That same morning, someone had become romantic aside from my hubby. 😍 It was Ryzen. He handed me a flower. 🤗 Do you think he knows how pure and sweet it is? It's just a simple flower but it comes from his sincere little heart.

Tinuktok for Lunch

By lunchtime, my hubby bought tinuktok. A local delicacy here in the Bicol Region. For those unfamiliar with it, tinuktok is similar to pinangat, but it has filling. Inside the taro leaves is a mixture of mixed freshwater shrimp or sometimes crab meat with finely chopped young coconut meat. Personally, I prefer tinuktok over pinangat because of that delicious filling.

Afternoon Snack with Aiden

Later in the afternoon, I decided to buy some snacks just a few houses away from our home. They sell tusok-tusok, which is always tempting. I brought Aiden with me and while waiting for our order to finish cooking, we do a quick selfie.

And that's it!
Today wasn't a busy day... But each moment added a small spark of joy.
Sometimes, happiness comes from appreciating the small things in life.
Until my next everyday snapshots...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
