Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
With Shangri and Nala now free to roam throughout the house, and the "Kitten Nursery" now closed off to them, of course the next question became where they would choose to sleep.
Nala really likes sleeping with Curator Cat
Throughout almost my entire cat life — with the exception of when I was a tiny kitten — I have slept on the Hoomans' bed, either at the foot of the bed, or in the space between their legs.
It did not take long for Shangri and Nala to discover that sleeping on the Hoomans' bed was a good idea!
The primo sleeping spot!
The Mom-Hooman had folded the fuzzy green blanket from their previous sleeping area and laid it out across the foot of the bed, so there was a familiar scent there.
Certainly, everybody was a little nervous and apprehensive at first, but it didn't these young cats long to figure out that the strip of fuzzy green blanket at the foot of the bed was theirs to occupy! So far they have been very well behaved and have not taken to suddenly jumping on anybody in the middle of the night.
Three cats in a row
Being that they are still large kittens — and full of all the energy that goes with being that — they typically sleep on the bed with me and the Hoomans from lights out until about daybreak... at which time they get up and start to run crazy through the house!
Yes, Kitty Crazies are alive and well here at our place!
Nala loves Uncle Shadow's bed!
Meanwhile, I have not only grown used to having a couple of other cats in the house, but I have become quite good friends with them.
I am especially fond of Nala — who is the little girl kitty — who climbs into my daytime bed next to the Dad-Hooman's computer, she will snuggle in and then ask me to groom her. Which I gladly do. Being Uncle Shadow is a pretty cool gig, all in all.
They have already grown SO much!
Of course, part of what makes it all OK is the fact that the Hoomans are taking extra care to pay plenty of attention to me and offer me special treats, so I don't end up feeling "second best" to the youngsters. After all, I have been here for seven years, already!
Shadow grooming Nala
We're also impressed with the fact that they clearly do seem to understand that Smudge is an "old lady kitty" and they don't try to get too rough or energetic with her.
All in all, the addition of two new young cats to our world has gone quite well!
We appreciate you stopping by our cat blog, and hope you'll come to visit again soon... we'll be back for Caturday!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
