RE: You ate what this week?

Although neither of us are Catholic, my friend and I try to hit some of the local fish fries during Lent.

I grew up Catholic and while I haven't practiced in many many years, I do recall how huge an event these fish frys were. My family didn't get a lot of fish in our lives because of where we lived but I do recall being quite excited by them.

Not to rub any salt into it but yeah, your diet is pretty unhealthy. I'm not gonna preach about it because I only recently went to the other side :)

Fish fries are not as common as they used to be, but you can still find them here and there. This week has been pretty bad, but it's honestly the exception more than the rule. I have a cheat day maybe once a week if that. Most everything else is pretty moderated to a specific calorie count through the week. This was probably the most fried food I have eaten in a couple of months. From what I have learned, portion control seems to be the real key. When you consider that, the only night I really faltered was the fish night. Which again would probably be my cheat day. Don't get me wrong, I know I could be doing more, but comparatively, my wife and I do eat pretty healthy. We talked to one nutritionist just to verify we were doing things right and she said she wished all her clients ate like we do (for the most part).
