saturday wa filled with uncertainty. there was really nothing much to do, and yet again i was left alone at home. my housemates all had engagements of their own, and i was not included in any of them. i guess they were in their "solo" era.
i eventually had to go out to find some lunch, tempura and soba. i did not intend to get the hot soba but was happy i got it anyway, the weather was a bit cold and this will really help warm me up. i also think that i was underdressed, protected from the wind but not from the cold. this was the only "outing" i had in mind for the day so i guess a little cold would be fine.
i slowly headed back home and planned to have some groceries. a new week is coming and i had no more provisions left. with some hesitations and a another layer of jacket on, i headed out for that grocery trip.
it was then when a friend group chat chimed in and mentioned that they will be visiting that friend who recently had a surgery. and since i had nothing to do, my grocery trip was cancelled. provisions will be bought some other time, for now i am out to catch the breeze and touch grass. nah, i'll also be indoors mostly over there but i will have some company.

oh this awfully familiar place, it was just recent when i stayed here for a bit. we were just chatting the whole time in our friend's room. he mentioned how challenging it was to be alone at home with basically just one working arm. and of course he also needed to be careful not to bump or do anything stressful to the bad arm. he was undergoing physical therapy now and on the road to recovery for sure.
time flew by so fast and it was time for dinner. so we headed out for a bit and bought food to be eaten home. this restaurant had a take out option, just perfect for us. but he was working alone, and the orders definitely took time to be ready. fortunately it was near the shop's closing time, we were now alone in that shop but an order for 4 was quite a lot.
but then i had no complaints at all. it was delicious. anything fried is delicious though, and that sauce complimented the chicken well. and another thing that complimented was this craft beer provided by another friend who lived there. just don't mind the mug but that beer was something. she had a dispenser and offered, so i gladly took it.
after more hours of continuous chatting, we finally decided to head home. my supposed boring day turned out productive after all.
