Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was the day before the big heat wave starts. It was already hot, in the mid-80s, but that is still bearable. So the plan was to work on the yard, especially mowing the lawn. But when I realized I had no gas left for the mower, I lost all motivation... So in the end, it was a quiet day with multiple breaks in the yard with the furry friends. So I guess another routine day. Le Chat was more playful than usual though, half hiding in the tall grass, before jumping on imaginary preys.
Kaia seemed in a much sleepier mood. Of course, it was after a very detailed check of the entire yard, especially along the fence.
Like I said, it wasn't too hot yet, so we didn't have to wait too late to start our long walk with Kaia. The Moon was already up there in the blue sky though.
Big contrast with the green in the forest.
Kaia seemed much more energetic than she had been the past few days. That's very nice to see. I think her self-inflicted wounds, from scratching and licking, are healing, so she can finally move pretty much as usual.
So I didn't need to cut our walk too short. After a detour for Cubiverse vaults, we went back into the forest for a bit and started on our way back home.
Of course, we saw plenty of wildlife on the way home. We don't see them very often, but we first saw an opossum again. But it was too quick to hide in the sewer pipe. The deer on the other hand didn't hide, they just don't care too much about us, at least when Kaia's on leash.
Well, it was kind of a lazy day, but we did have our usual walk, and with a few other activities, it wasn't so bad of a step count. Probably not enough for a win in #Poliac though. Clearly not my best season, but hopefully I can stay in the golden league. The extreme heat this week will not help though. We'll see.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
