Hey Actifitters,
Even though it was Saturday, the plan didn't change much for Le Chat yesterday. Of course, we found her lounging in the sun on the old dog bed.
She probably doesn't care, but the yard looks good at the moment. The fall colors, although not as vibrant as what I remember last year, are great.
As often, Le Chat did move when she joined her sister in her yard perimeter check.
But that's a lot of effort, she deserved a break right there in the lawn.
At least until we moved behind the front yard, and she couldn't resist following Kaia again.
I wish she'd follow us all the way to our forest, so much more space for them to explore.
And small critters to hunt! Look at the second one. It was checking something when it saw Kaia, and then was like 'What the hell is this thing?...'
Since it was much earlier than our usual walks, we could again take our time to walk all the trails, including near the teepees.
Kaia had to visit one of course.
But she went back on the hunt for bigger critters.
And we did find a few. Kaia didn't chase them though, she was already pretty tired by then.
So we slowly walked a bit more before making our way back home. It would be a shame not to enjoy this great weather in the forest.
We weren't done with critters, so many squirrels on the way back. Look at this one, looking at Kaia like 'What, you wanna fight?'. Good thing Kaia was on leash though.
After a few espressos, I went for a run. It had been a while and with the Detroit half marathon coming up in two weeks, I wanted to test myself. The end was tough, but overall 7+ miles at a decent pace, it's not too bad.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
