Hey Actifitters,
In spite of the great weather again, yesterday wasn't so active. And to make it worse, in the afternoon, when we were getting ready for our daily walk, one of my managers called. I think big managers have like a sixth sense, whenever you're about to do something, they sense it and find a way to spoil the fun! Anyways, the call ended after it already got dark.
So instead of my original plan to go to the forest first and then try and find this infamous comet we keep hearing about, we went directly to the same place as yesterday with a big open view to the West. I already showed this Halloween display, but I got more details this time. Can you see the size compared to the full size window? That thing is big! Talking about the window, I didn't notice the extra details before.
The after-sunset sky behind us was beautiful.
And indeed when we arrived at that clearing, the colors were still great.
No comet though! For a second, I got excited, then quickly realized this trail was just a plane.
We stayed for a while, just to make sure and also because the colors lingered for a long time. Yeah, no comet, that is for sure.
We were disappointed, but luckily there was another beautiful celestial event to enjoy: the full hunter's Supermoon. Not as rare obviously, but it's the biggest and brightest full Moon this year.
I always try and add some other items in the same frame.
Since we were already almost halfway to the forest, we went there instead of just walking back home.
Kaia needed the off-leash time, and had fun chasing a few critters.
We stopped at our Cubiverse vault, where there is another view to the West. Still no comet... I guess we'll have to try again in 80000 years...
The Moon shots with my phone were good, but it was tempting to test my smart telescope again. I played with the settings again and struggled to get the visible color right. But a few shots were pretty good.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
