Hey Actifitters,
After a great week end visitng local parks to enjoy the fall colors, it was back to the workday routine yesterday. Le Chat didn't change her own routine though. She was like 'would you leave me alone, I'm trying to clean and groom myself here...'
But later she was all up in Kaia's grille again. I saw it happen this time. Kaia was chilling and Le Chat went to lie down right in front of her face!
A little later, we saw deer in the yard through the window. I made sure they were safe before I let Kaia out. They were gone, but she said 'No worries, I'm on it...' That kept her busy for a while.
Talking about the yard, it is changing rapidly now. Some trees already have their winter bare look, while some still have plenty of leaves.
The situation is a bit different behind the front yard, it's still colorful.
Same in the neighborhood, even if it was getting dark already when we started our daily walk, we could still find plenty of colorful foliage.
And of course the sunset colors!
I said it many times, this entrance to the forest with all the leaves is just so great!
But there were other dog walkers for once, so we went off-trail, to not bother them.
Look at Kaia, ankle-deep in new fallen leaves.

It was dark when we cut through the forest again, but it was pretty obvious it's quite different compared to 3 days ago when we were there last. Much more leaves on the trail, and much less on the trees!
Kaia looked okay, and I felt like walking longer, so we made a few detours in the neighborhood to check out the Halloween decorations. But there aren't that many surprisingly. We see many more political signs. Maybe people are so concerned about the upcoming elections they forget about Halloween... At least most of the signs in my neighborhood are luckily for Harris. Not surprising with the demography here, but nice to confirm.
When it's fully dark, I can only rely on Kaia's behavior to know if there's something lurking in the darkness. When she becomes all focused and excited, something is there. That's how I found this cat, just a couple meters from us, not even impressed by Kaia apparently.
