My Actifit Report Card: June 3 2024

Good evening friends! Today I went to the Shepherd's Rest - Hirtenruhe. The rest area, known as “Ovčákova slast,” acquired its name during the height of Romanticism in the mid-19th century. Its original name was “Shepherd’s Delight,” which dates back to 1837. In 1847, a two-story observation pavilion with elegant columns was built above the rest area. However, by 1879, the views of the city were already obstructed by mature trees. Even today, nothing can be seen through the dense branches of the trees

Dobrý večer, přátelé! Dnes jsem se vydal na místo Pastýřské odpočívadlo - Hirtenruhe.
Odpočívadlo, kterému se říká “Ovčákova slast”, získalo své jméno v době, kdy romantismus byl na svém vrcholu, někdy v polovině 19. století. Poprvé se tento název objevil v roce 1837. O deset let později, v roce 1847, byl nad odpočívadlem vybudován dvoupodlažní vyhlídkový altán s krásnými sloupy. Ale už v roce 1879 byl výhled na město skrytý za vysokými stromy. A i dnes, po tolika letech, stále není možné nic vidět skrze husté větve stromů
