Hi I'm Iris from Indonesia and I just joined the Ecency. I prefer sharing my story through Actifit because my work requires me to travel a lot and while I am not at work, I like to have little adventures with my little boy.
It's Sunday and it is time to have a date with my handsome lil guy. Since he just caught a cold and is still recovering, we just play around at the communal park in my neighborhood. Today the weather was pretty nice, the sun shone brightly since morning but it was not scorching hot. Just enough clouds, so we would not get sunburn.
Yesterday, we got some rain so the park was full of fallen leaves and small branches. My boy decided to be an excavator that cleaned up those leaves.
I was glad that he could get some doze of Vitamin D to help him recover from his cold. He was very excited because he always loves construction trucks, even that meant I got to be the bulldozer that helped him gather the leaves.
Whenever I get a chance, I always take him to play outside, to observe, appreciate, and take care of our surroundings. There are a lot of sensory enhancing activities that we can do in our surroundings. I always encourage him to touch and feel the textures of leaves, trees, fruits, and smell flowers and aromatic leaves that grow around us. It will be a very good activity to develop his sense of smell and touch.
Playing outside is also good for developing his gross and fine motor skills. We did some balancing play on the fallen tree bark and also practiced throwing the fallen fruit into the pavements.
We ended our adventures by having lunch at the park, which he joyfully called as a picnic. Thanks to the constant moving, running, yelling, and laughing, he ate really well today -after losing his appetite for a few days because of his was not feeling well. It was a very fun and memorable moment for both of us.
