Yes, in my country, a whole course contains soup as well. Obviously you can have it or not, but you will find it on every menu, unless it's a pizza bistro or not a proper restaurant.

But yours was soup with spaghetti???

NO!!! DEFINITELY NO!!! Not every pasta is spaghetti 😆 This is thin pasta and chicken soup is served with this pasta.
