We leave Boho bay nice and early just so we can head north, as we are going to haul out on the 27th meaning we will take the boat out of the water.
Once again it was a cold night and we had frost all over our deck and l got to capture the frost on the rocks:
All that white powder is all the frost - clearly showing you how cold it gets here in Canada.
As the hours ticked by and the motors were running l had to show you this.
Some beautiful snow-capped mountains - not a single cloud in the sky just the sun.
After six hours of motoring, we reached Mitlenatch Island. At first, we didn’t realize how tight the anchorage was, but we had no choice, so we put out a second anchor, which wasn’t a good choice either. Once we settled down, we thought we had enough water under the boat, but either we had calculated wrong, or the chart was incorrect. Either way, by around 8 p.m., the boat was on the sand.
As you see in this photo, our entire sugar scoop is dry and you can clearly see the sea bed.
It was a peaceful night thats for sure.
Next morning we decided to talk a walk on the relatively small Island.
Another gorgeous sunny day - its pretty rare to see the sun for over a week, but we are definitely not complaining.
We really didn't think that on this small Island would be so much wildlife - take a look:
Pretty amazing right? Let me know what you think.
We walked right across and found a nice little beach.
We had turn around as we saw a sign:
And of course we went on further to the beach - as we didn't want to disturb the birds.
After some time we came back and l managed to get some pretty interesting photos - tell me what you think about them.
We also found this sign and thought is was quite funny.
Well, thats all for today. l hope you of you enjoyed my update and l will see you all soon.
