As someone who lives downtown, I much prefer having the options to use different means of transportation and less car congestion. Plus we get about 10 million visitors each year, so it's essential to get everybody moving and having fun. So, I am biased in favour of less downtown traffic, but I get why some people are not happy, especially when traffic is diverted and becomes chaotic in other areas of the city. It's a work in progress :D
