Back in Pattaya & Straight to My Favorite Spot: MuNasir Pool Cafe (They Moved… and It’s Even Better)

in Photography Lovers17 hours ago (edited)

Touchdown Bangkok → grabbed the first van to Pattaya → 30 seconds of hugs with the wife and the little man who literally grew 5 cm while I was away in Tashkent. One month apart felt like forever. The cure? Straight to the place we’ve been dreaming about the whole time I was gone — MuNasir Pool Cafe!

I told you guys about it exactly a year ago (here’s the throwback post if you wanna compare). Back then it was already pure magic. But when we rolled up to the original spot… boom, a sign: “We’ve temporarily moved”.

No drama — we just punched the new address into Grab and five minutes later we’re parking right next to a mosque. Yep, the cafe is now literally on the mosque grounds, still run by the same lovely Muslim family: husband, wife, and their super sweet 14-15 y.o. daughter who’s always smiling and helping out.

The new vibe? Next level cozy.

Imagine wooden terraces, antique plates, brass teapots older than all of us, vintage fans spinning lazily above your head, and every corner screaming “someone put their whole heart into this”. I spotted a framed interior design certificate on the wall — mystery solved, the owner clearly went to school for this kind of magic.

They kept the soul of the old place but upgraded everything. More space, more shade, that peaceful mosque courtyard energy… it’s giving luxury without even trying.

Food — oh man.

Coffee is still insane (rich, perfectly pulled cappuccinos in antique cups). Cakes? Still baked fresh every day by the owner — we demolished a chocolate one that disappeared in 30 seconds flat.

NEW on the menu: burgers. And not some sad tourist burgers — these are proper beasts. Thick, hand-formed halal beef patty, juicy (ok, maybe a touch dry for my taste, but we’ll re-test next visit), fresh veggies, soft brioche bun. My son went classic and smashed a Margherita pizza like it owed him money.

Everything is 100% halal, which explains why after Friday prayers the place fills up with locals in thobes and hijabs — love seeing that mix of cultures chilling together.

Pics are shot on the new iPhone 17 Pro Max

(yeah, I finally upgraded — full review in the previous post). The camera eats low-light cafe shots for breakfast, colors pop exactly like real life.

Quick update for everyone using #Worldmappin / Google Maps

The old pin is dead. New location is literally inside the mosque courtyard on the Naklua side. I’ll drop the exact coordinates in the comments so you don’t waste time like we almost did.

If you’re in Pattaya and you want a spot that feels like someone’s home turned into the coolest cafe ever — come here. Bring time, bring an empty stomach, and prepare to leave happier than you came.

So good to be back with my people in Thailand. Big adventures loading… stay tuned, way more coming 🔥

P.S. Still have a ton of unreleased stuff from Uzbekistan and Russia — might drop some throwbacks when I get nostalgic.

See you in the next one ✌️
