I don't usually take pictures of flowers and I don't know the names of the different species that exist, but on this occasion, because they brought some natural flower arrangements to the place where I work, I wanted to take advantage of the fact to take some photos of them, and you can really appreciate how beautiful the different shades of these flowers can be, which are purely natural tones, rather I would say that's where the colors come from or the distinction that we humans have to see colors in this world.
As I said before, I won't mention what kind of flowers I'm showing, it's a subject I don't know about, maybe I know that there are some roses or if it should have another name but anyway I was only struck by the subtlety of its beauty which is why I wanted to take these photos, between more reddish, blue, yellow and other tones they contrasted well with each other.
Also in this post I wanted to show some of these flowers or species in a black and white style, so that it would have variety in composition, and you can see a bit of that contrast and texture in some of the motifs, which are well exposed in their own harmony within the photographic frame.
Regarding the lighting, I made the compositions based on the two types of lighting, both natural and artificial, on the one hand using the artificial light of the light box in some examples and on the other I used natural light that came from the window of the office where I work, a slightly strong light and directed towards the flowers that I wanted to take photos of. In both ways I liked the photos that were taken with natural light, just like the first photograph presented in this post.
You can see a greater texture in the flowers and it looks more harmonious within its appearance as a flower, as well as it contrasts well within the scene creating subtle and beautiful tones.
All photographs are my own.
