Am I The Luckiest Person Ever? .:. MyHiveGoals 2024

Welcome to another "rantish" post! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I know that some of you like these very much, so you will probably enjoy it, and for others, you can always skip this part and move on... I suppose that people like my rants as they can always find something similar in their thoughts, which is always nice to see/read... It is a confirmation that we are not alone and that some other people think the same, despite maybe NOT talking about it...

I was trying to find who did a post on the topic of "luck in crypto", and I had to spend a nice chunk of time remembering... I thought it was @gadrian, but in the end, I found it! @josediccus was writing about it and you can find a post here... It was a starting point for this post, but I turned that well-written, calm post into a rant! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Most of my rants come because I get triggered by some "external comments" from people who usually have no idea where I come from, where I am, and where I'm going... The best quote that comes to my mind in those moments is the one that I heard in a church from a priest when he says something like: "Don't judge others as you never know from where they come..." But, we humans are doing that a lot... Judging others, especially when we are envious, jealous, or just lazy... The easiest way to comfort ourselves and our failures is to deny others' success by saying: "He was lucky!"

Usually, in the days of #HivePUD, you can find a lot of that... I would like to be in your place and have that much to power up, You are so lucky to have that much HivePower, I will do it like you... one day... I remember the last one by a similar saying from my student days... It was called The Biggest Student Lie - I will start to learn... TOMORROW!

It's nice to wish to be in a place where some other person is... I would like to be in a place where Elon Musk is, but... Do I spend the same amount of time researching, learning, and trying to be the most effective all the time... Probably not... The same thing goes in our small community... When someone envies us for our achievement...

  • I remember the time when you were binge-watching a popular TV show of 40 episodes... I didn't watch it as I was researching stuff where I could invest my fiat to not lose value by huge inflation...

  • Do you remember the time when you were screaming out of your lungs that crypto is dead and it will not survive? Well, in those moments I was buying that crypto and accumulating as much as I could...

  • Do you remember the time when you said that HIVE has no community and that everyone left? In those moments, I was creating content, motivating people from my surroundings to keep building and creating network connections... As in those times, people who are here are the MOST VALUABLE people that you can have! And accumulation of wealth is much easier when you have a smaller group of people, working while others are freaking out...

  • Do you remember the time when you were playing Clash Royale or Candy Crash? In those moments I was creating a project and a token that will work for me and others, in good and in bad times... Thinking about the future and how to have a stable passive income...

  • Do you remember the time when crypto was on top, and you were buying it as it would go to the moon? In those moments, I was taking profits, converting more risky tokens into blue-chip tokens, or HBD, trying to protect my assets from inflation and the next bear market...

Indeed... It looks like I'm the luckiest person ever... You can be the same!

Back to the #MyHiveGoals numbers... 2 weeks after the last report...

hivestats.png
screenshot from hivestats.io

Yesterday was a #HivePUD and that's why there is a huge yellowish bar on that chart... I did a 1K power-up like I was doing last year, and it was a great feeling to be able to do it!

That made a nice push for my HivePower goal, and according to my calculations, I should be doing 2K HP per month to reach my 100K HivePower yearly goal! Is it possible? Have no idea... Will I do my best to reach it? You bet I will! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

MyHiveGoals01.png

Liotes Divider Blue.png

I think I would reach my SWAP.HIVE:LEN shares goal last month, but I missed creating this report last week... I was very close and have probably reached it, but I don't have proof of it... lol... So, I have to do the same this month and deliver the proof! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I need around 120 shares to add to get to my monthly goal... As I have added around 90 during the last 2 weeks, it is doable...

My Rising Star goal is doing well, but I have slowed down with the card accumulation as I moved focus to different things in the game... I think I have already mentioned that I began with collecting "PRO CARDS" in-game (musicians and instruments) and that requires a significant amount of STARPRO tokens needed for blending these cards... So, most of my income from the game goes into that, instead of buying cheap cards from the market, which is the direct reason for slower card accumulation... Anyway, the Rising Star monthly goal is reached, so I have time to wiggle... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

The harder I work the luckier I become

That's a great statement!!!

untitled.gif

I define LUCK as Labor Upon Correct Knowledge. People tend to reverse the narrative which is the way of life. Knowledge is power, Learning is power and of course Hive Power is power! ๐Ÿ˜†

That is another awesome comment!!! You guys are killing it in the comment section!!!

Labor Upon Correct Knowledge

AMEN!

I think it's unavoidable to judge people. It's how we make our own decisions and it's just going to happen. I do kind of agree that lucky is a factor but I think taking the risk to get that luck is the hardest part.

I do kind of agree that lucky is a factor but I think taking the risk to get that luck is the hardest part.

That's an interesting point of view! Having luck without taking action on opportunities has no value at all! I like it!

Do you remember the time when you were playing Clash Royale or Candy Crash?

No, but I have a certain farm fresh in my memory... ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

You wit on a few trigger points here. Many envy the "suss" ignoring the sacrifice it entails without knowing if it will do anything. The cases of great strokes of luck are very punctual. It is normal for it to be a product of preparation, work and take advantage of opportunities.

On the other hand, the concept of success depends on each one. We are also changing that idea over time, today I would not lift a finger for things that I was obsessed with achieving years ago.

I see here a good topic to explore and that could play in a HHH Live: "What is success for you?" ๐Ÿ˜˜

No, but I have a certain farm fresh in my memory... ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

hahahahah... I was also playing those farm games, but it was a couple of years ago (or a decade? ๐Ÿ˜‚)... It's addictive!

I see here a good topic to explore and that could play in a HHH Live: "What is success for you?" ๐Ÿ˜˜

Oooooooh... That's a GOOD ONE! Will write it down in my notes!! Thanks!

Thanks for referencing my post, to be very honest. There's nothing lucky about it, and I like your token of sarcasm to this. Taking risk itself takes gut and energy. You constantly need to remind yourself mentally that it's all going to pay off, while some people refuse to take the risk.

You have put yourself in a very good position, and the risks and efforts will eventually pay off..

It's easy to say it, to write a post about it... But, it's not easy to do it... People think it's easy, but I have thousands of doubts before taking any move, like anyone else... Many times I fail to take action, but 1001st time, I do... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It's not really easy at all, the doubts are there like you've said, but we just do it anyways. It's disheartening when some people use the word luck" on people that's hustled hard and paid their dues.

Well there is a big difference between beeing lucky and doing hard work. I know that you weren't always lucky but you tried things some were good others less but you never gave up and that's the reason for your success. It has nothing to do with luck. If you don't invest the time and the effort you simply rob yourself the chance to be successful.

If you don't invest the time and the effort you simply rob yourself the chance to be successful.

If you don't buy the ticket, you can't win the lottery! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hehe I like the 5 bullet points and I could relate to it so much! I never had much interest in watching dramas unless it's just spending time with family and loved ones, because I rather be spending time studying and monitoring the financial and crypto markets. So we are gonna be luckyyyyyy!
!LUV

Hehe I like the 5 bullet points and I could relate to it so much!

I got ideas for those bullet points from things that I did in the past! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It's nice to wish to be in a place where some other person is...

I was thinking about this the other day. Though mine was more about how come this person does so little but gets more wealth than I do, so, what's their secret? I guess I learned they just work smarter and not harder. Sometimes, luck & connection play role too, not always but sometimes & these people are pretty outliers too.

Though mine was more about how come this person does so little but gets more wealth than I do, so, what's their secret?

Hahaha... I made that question numerous times! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Sometimes it is what you are saying, but in some cases (which I did experience a couple (or a lot) of times), to get into the same position you have to play "dirty"... As I didn't want to pass that line, I stayed in "other position" that keeps my mind healthy and clean...

Itโ€™s great to have goals thatโ€™s for sure! With the goals also comes work and that may be something some people donโ€™t understand. They want to hit X Y or Z but donโ€™t put in a lot of effort to do so. Iโ€™m glad you are chugging away towards your goal! Myself Iโ€™ve got a goal to hit 40k hive power by the end of the year. Iโ€™m making good progress on it and it would be nice to get it early but you never know.

This community has a perfect admin, who rants even inside the comments on rant posts!!! Respect! ๐Ÿ™‚

Jokes aside, it is like you said... People see goals, and they cheer you, but very rarely do they think about the work done to achieve those goals... I got replies about how smoothly and easily I do my goals... Oh, man... It would be great if that was/is the case... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

LOL I practice what I preach :D

What can I say besides that in Hive (I don't know about other aspects of your life), you are achieving all your goals?
But have you considered that maybe this is your comfort zone because everything is going smoothly for you?

Hehehe...

What can I say besides that in Hive (I don't know about other aspects of your life), you are achieving all your goals?

I'm not reaching all of them and I missed a lot of my goals... Doing my best to reach them... Working on them...

But have you considered that maybe this is your comfort zone because everything is going smoothly for you?

Well, I suppose that you nailed it there! It may look from the outside how everything is going smoothly, but it is not like that... It's far away from that... lol... It's not linear... It's two steps forward, and one step back... but it is going forward...

Hmmm... but you made me think... Maybe I should write more about the work that is done in the background... It indeed looks like it is too easy and smooth...

But, if it is, why not everyone is doing it?
Am I the only one who is lucky? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I didn't mean everything was handed to you on a platter, but more like "Fortune follows the brave." Every journey, even to the comfort zone, requires self-denial and effort to reach it.

As you said, luck is used as an excuse. I would even dare say that most times this word is used, it has nothing to do with luck, and everything to do with taking the extra step. when others won't.

Yeah, luck is overrated... For sure! In 99% it's not luck but rather the action that someone did and I didn't...

I won't say your lucky with your success here. You do a lot here and also provide tons of value to others. In a way being labeled lucky or fortunate just shows your doing a lot of things right.

It's always better to learn from others not throw out excuses why you can't do what they can. Everything can't happen overnight you have to work towards it with consistency.

I wouldn't label myself as "successful", but I do understand that some people from the outside see it like that... Success would be to see my friends being successful with me... together... IMO, Hive is built up to give us that opportunity and I will do my best to embrace it! It is a long shot, but knowing more and more people here, it looks more and more like an achievable thing! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It does require work, and we are doing it! Maybe it doesn't look like work, as it is fun... but work can be fun... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

It does require work, and we are doing it! Maybe it doesn't look like work, as it is fun... but work can be fun

Yes a different kind of work that I find enjoyable when time allows. If one isn't finding it fun here than it's kind of sad they are here. My downfall is the things away from the chain that hurt me. But I sometimes find my way back to the light here more often ๐Ÿ˜

Woah! Rant mode activated ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿšจ I certainly can understand the points you are making. You got to put the work in, go without sometimes and more. I do wonder if the phrase is just an intellectually lazy one, it can trigger for sure. Although, you were lucky with a couple of your alt picks ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ

Although, you were lucky with a couple of your alt picks ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ

Which ones? lol...

You've mentioned some crucial things here. You made important decisions and demonstrated perseverance in the past and now that it's paying off, it may look like luck to some people, but it really isn't.

I'm happy that you're very close to achieving your hive goals.

Check out other comments on this post! There are some great golden nuggets here! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

The Len token seems to be heading down though. I noticed the uptrend it had had for a couple of weeks, or perhaps months, until recently. Is anybody but me dumping it? ;)

Hehehehe... We had 2 big whales and one of them decided to sell their tokens, or better said move them to work for it... This means, better future distribution of tokens... ๐Ÿ™‚

Nobody likes big whales in any token! We will see what happens in the next days/weeks... I'm not worried about it at all... ;)

They could be helpful - I believe many shitcoins are being hustled by whales day by day. With a decent share, you can manipulate the market, which is still decisive when it comes to percieved value of cryptocurrencies. In my point of view, that's one of the reasons Hive struggles climbing up - people dump it rather than trade it. And if you're a whale, you usually take more profit for curating than trading. Not mentioning the power HP gives you over the ecosystem - it is called Hive Power for a reason.

And if you're a whale, you usually take more profit for curating than trading. Not mentioning the power HP gives you over the ecosystem - it is called Hive Power for a reason.

Yeah... agree with you on that... Another thing is that whales can "leverage" their HivePower and get (monetary) value without selling their stake (some do that, some do not)... That is something that dates back from the old blockchain, and unfortunately, didn't change...

I donโ€™t feel youโ€™re lucky though even though it seem to be. I feel youโ€™re working harder to achieve all what you are today. There is no way youโ€™d work harder and not get what you want
Keep it up!

Well, it is possible to work harder and not get where you want to be... It's a different topic, but it has everything with a focus and the right choice...

The easiest way to comfort ourselves and our failures is to deny others' success by saying: "He was lucky!"

Yes, at least it's a more positive way to envy ๐Ÿ˜‚. As someone said, "Luck is also a strength." Tho, everything isn't based on luck only.
!LOL

Hehehehe... you invented a new term... Positive envy! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I was a bit ironic with that title... Most of the things in my life I had to do in a hard way... lol... I suppose that helped (in some way)... maybe... lol... not sure... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I totally get what you're saying about luck dearest friend. It often seems like success is just about working harder and smarter than others. Your goals and determination are really inspiring to me especially in the Hive community. Keep pushing good friend.

It often seems like success is just about working harder and smarter than others.

I don't think it just "seems" like that... IMO, it is like that... But, it's easier to "blame someone's luck" for being successful than to work harder... I did that a lot... lol... Everyone is luckier than me... ๐Ÿคฃ The title of the post was sarcasm... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I absolutely get it dearest friend and you're right, it doesn't seem it actually is... Hope you get better luck though ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’ฏ
