Moving with pets must be hard! I contemplated traveling with my cats but they are very anti-social, I don't think they will like it. I am lucky because whenever I have to leave for weeks to visit my family my partner takes really good care of our cats and horse. We will move to a house we are building in a couple of years but are planning the home so that it is ideal for our kitties so I hope the move will be easy for them.
It's a complicated process girlfriend, it's the same for me. My pack is very spoiled and they are a bit naughty, I don't know how they would react. I have paused my trips for them, because I don't like to leave them alone. But if I have to leave a whole, or move, I look for ways to arrange for them to go with me and make the process as uncomfortable as possible.
It is good that you have someone you trust to take care of them when you go out, I suggest that you make short and brief trips with them to get them used to these movements, and the day of the move will not be something new. The horse would be the most delicate process but there are ways to do it if you organize it with time. God willing everything will go very well and they will be happy with their new home.
