Reduced Food Market Choice: Removing Food Items Over Unacceptable Food Price Increases

in #leofinancelast year

A popular grocery chain in Europe is going to reportedly be pulling PepsiCo items from the shelves in areas like Spain, Italy, France, and Belgium.

Carrefour has decided to make the move because the items have become too expensive and for some time now over the topic of food and cost of living there has been a lot of attention paid to companies and retailers and not so much on the monetary policies that might in any way have fueled this fire.

unacceptable price increase for some food items

They are making the move to stop selling some of the most popular food items that people love and enjoy today, often these are usually seen to be more cost effective food items too such as chips that are much cheaper than making an entire meal from scratch.

Will we see more stores start to do this or threaten to move in this direction due to prices? If those prices still don't slow then what will that mean for quality of life as far as store options in these places around Europe and throughout the world?

Will cost of living and inflation be more of a topic to be continued because it is going to more directly impact the daily lives of people when they can't get items any longer that they might want.
