As the tourists cover up Session Road last week because of Panagbenga Session Road in Bloom, me and my friend decided to just go at SM mall and enjoy the quietness there.
As we were struggling to choose where to eat, I remembered one video I watched through facebook and I wanted to try it out.
So we went to After Tree and ordered one large Matcha Kakigori and one blueberry cake.
We just shared the two since w
it's too expensive for us who are in the verge of being broke 🤣. We just want to chill before going home 🥲.

I remembered eating something like this when I was still in Taiwan. I guess it was called Bingsu which literally means Frozen water in Korean Language. I tried to look for that picture of mine eating the Bingsu but just can't find it. it's way back 2017.
So back to the future, we dug into the matcha and appreciated it's taste. It wasn't sweet. You can really taste the Matcha flavor. It was only on that time that I really appreciated the matcha food they served. Other products that claimed they have matcha tastes sooo sweet and I know it's not supposed to be that sweet.
But at After Tree, the Matcha Kakigori is superb. The grassy and bitter taste pf matcha lingers in my mouth. I don't know why I like the flavor. I guess it's my taste buds growing old already (jk).
I thought it was just pure matcha flavored shaved ice but as we dug deeper, it revealed a coffee Jelly and sweet bean surprise. It complimented the bitterness of the Matcha. By the way, one order is around 200+ Pesos.
For the blueberry cheesecake, it wasn't what I expected it to be...for me, it was too expensive. I just wished I ordered the mango cake 😅.
Another thing I'd like to mention is that most of their tables have a QR code where you can view the menu.
Their comfort room also havs a unique design. At the time of our visit, it wast that perfectly clean but still decent enough.
If I have another extra time and money, I will surely go back there and try other flavors.
