Tipi kafe _ Phan Phe Drink

in #review18 days ago

Hello everyone, it's Alice again - the girl who often hangs around cafes and milk tea shops! Today I visited a shop with a very special name - Tipi Kafe. Hearing "tipi" makes me think it's cute, it sounds like the name of a pretty little hut, and it's true, not only is the name strange but the way "kafe" is written instead of "café" is also an interesting variation - both unique and cute.

Tipi is located in an alley, so if you don't pay attention, it's easy to pass by. But once you step inside, wow, the space is completely different from what I imagined. I know this shop is seriously invested because I once surfed the website of an architecture studio, and they said they personally designed Tipi. It seems that Tipi currently has three branches, but the common point is that they are all spacious and prioritize greenery, creating a cool and pleasant feeling.

The first impression when coming to the shop is the unique round glass door - you can see through it, which is quite attractive. The shop has two floors. The first floor is a kind of "miniature garden" with lots of green trees, fresh and cool, looking at it makes you feel relaxed immediately. The second floor is an indoor seating space, about 10 tables, wooden decor and sofas with dark tones, very suitable for working. There is also a balcony with about 4 tables to sit and chill and look down at the space below.

Because the first floor was crowded at that time, I went up to the second floor to sit. I noticed that people often choose the first floor because the space is green and cool, suitable for groups of friends or those who want to chat loudly, while the second floor is quiet, cozy, just the right taste for those who often bring their laptops to work like me.

About drinks - I have to say that the menu is not too large, only about 20 dishes, but each dish has its own personality. The price ranges from 35,000 - 40,000 VND (about 1.5 - 1.7 USD), which sounds a bit high for the average population in that area, but I think the price is reasonable, because the trend now is towards quality - less flavoring, more natural ingredients, so the high price is understandable.

I used to go to many tea shops with more than a hundred dishes but the taste was very ordinary. At Tipi, the menu is simple but thoughtful. This is the reason why I increasingly choose shops like Tipi - quality over quantity. I used to be like many other students, drinking all kinds of green, red, purple, yellow milk tea with lots of syrup and colors, thinking back really makes me... shudder. At that time, I really didn't know how to love my body at all, so I always ate crazy things. Now it's different, I'm more mature and picky about food and I also love my body more, so I care a lot about natural ingredients.

The menu at Tipi includes dishes such as: coffee, ice blended, star fruit tea, young coconut pandan tea, youth tea, healthy dishes such as apricot kombucha, pink guava kombucha, pineapple avocado smoothie, pandan star fruit juice, orange juice, etc. In recent years, Kombucha has become a very popular drink that many people like. Kombucha is a type of tea created by fermentation, which is a drink grown from a fungus called "Scoby". This is a drink that contains many probiotics and has many health benefits, it has a mild acidity so when you drink it, it tastes sour and a bit sore in the throat. Milk tea has only 4 dishes: roasted rice oolong, peach jelly tea, milo egg custard cream, black milk tea - few but each dish has its own identity, not bland. Snacks are also quite rich: dried pork, dried chicken, sunflower seeds, flan, tiramisu, red velvet, passion fruit mousse, croissants... In general, there is nothing missing for a chill coffee session.

Today I came in the afternoon, and the staff introduced me to two new dishes: pineapple jasmine tea and a type of coffee that made me curious just by the name - "Phan Phe". Although I am not a coffee fan, I heard that "Phan Phe" is easy to drink, even for people who are not used to drinking coffee, so I tried it right away.
And oh my god, the cup of Phan Phe really surprised me. On the cup is a piece of soft, fatty flan, made from eggs, fresh milk and whipping cream. The coffee taste is gentle, just a little bitter, not harsh. When eating a piece of flan and then sipping coffee - it feels like all the taste buds are soothed. It is truly an excellent combo. I don't regret trying it, and I think I'll order it again next time.

In short, Tipi Kafe is not a popular place on social media, but it is truly a place worth experiencing if you love the neatness of the space and the quality of the drinks. Beautiful - green - chill, private enough for working people, cute enough for groups of friends to gather. If you have the chance, you should try visiting Tipi, and don't forget to order a cup of "Phan Phe" to feel really high!
