As soon as we got through the dangerous sections of the road during our recent trip, we stopped by the first dining place we found, Route 101 Restaurant, for a tummy fill. At midday, there were not many customers; only one table was occupied. Probably because it was a stormy day, so travelers were limited.
Instead of the menu, I sought the bathroom first to take good care of my full bladder. When I got back to our table, the hubby had already ordered our meal. Normally, he would wait for me to ask what I want, but he was starving, so he chose according to his liking. It's okay as he eats most of the food anyway, lol!
While waiting, I took the chance to capture some photos of the interesting doodles on the posts. Creative, I say!

I was particularly drawn to this. It was the first thing I noticed on the central pillar when we entered the place. It's not only decorative, but also like a checklist. Travel - FRiENDS - drink - eat - LOVE - Change - Discover - laugh.

I also photographed a few pages of their menu.

A few minutes later, they served us with their complimentary soup. Tasty, but it had a little too much black pepper, which my stomach dislikes, so I couldn't finish it, even when I wanted to. Black pepper, chili, vinegar, and other similar condiments are quite harsh for my sensitive digestive system.

Not long after that, our main dishes came. As usual, the hubby couldn't go away with Pork Sisig (one of his favorites), and a bowl of pork sinigang, which, while I love very much, is a No for my stomach. It's sour, that's why.

Well, at least the LilGuy enjoyed the eggplant and pork from it. Alas! He has eaten something.
Except for his Dentastix and water, he didn't consume anything when we were in Cagayan, Kiangan, and Banaue. We observed that he rarely eats when we are in hot places.

Anyway, thankful much for the warm food before us, we ate quietly and slowly, savoring every bite. We didn't have to rush because we were already past the danger zones.
Oh, no matter how tempting this sign was about good coffee, I said "pass," for I already had a cup in the morning, and it gave me palpitations.

So we left the place with happy tummies and a small pouch of takeaway, for we couldn't finish the Sisig. Route 101 has been a warm, wonderful experience amidst the chaos of one stormy Friday. And yes, we are thankful too that they didn't say no to our four-legged furry boy.
