Today, I had lunch at Food Place inside the Pavilion Mall in the Bukit Bintang area. The food court is spacious, clean, and bathed in bright, welcoming light. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably settle in for a quick bite or linger over a meal with friends. The seating is plentiful, with a mix of light wood tables and sleek grey chairs arranged to create an open and airy feel. Thought went into making it a pleasant dining experience.
After looking around, I ordered the Kinta Pork Chop Rice from the Ipoh Treasure stall. It cost RM18.90 per plate. The dish come with a bowl of soup.
This dish is a hearty and visually appealing plate, a symphony of flavors and textures. It features a generous piece of fried pork chop, perfectly golden and tender, enveloped in a glossy, reddish-orange sauce. Each bite of the chop was delightful, with a subtle crispness from the frying giving way to succulent meat. The tomato sauce adds a wonderful tangy, sweet, and sour dimension to the pork chop.
Alongside the star pork chop, a fluffy mound of white rice provided the perfect canvas for the flavours. A perfectly fried sunny-side-up egg with a wonderfully runny yolk crowned the rice, adding richness. For a touch of freshness, crisp slices of cucumber and a juicy tomato wedge offered a welcome contrast. A small bowl of clear, flavorful soup, garnished with spring onions and what appeared to be crispy fried shallots, completed the meal. It was a comforting and light complement to the main dish.
