#754 - Binondo shots for Monday.

A warm Monday evening dearest Hiveans. We are now in the first day of work week and also my second day of rest but tomorrow early at six I am about to start my work. My wife though has started her night shift tonight. We didn't have much to do today except that I woke up early to prepare the breakfast for my son then went to the drugstore too to buy cough syrup for the wife as she has been having a dry cough for a week already. She also went to see our neighbor who is a doctor, though she is at seventy year old she still cater to locals who are seeking medical attention. She also ask cheap consultation fee like $3 only. Most of her patients are parents with their babies.

For our shots tonight which were taken yesterday after we finished walking in the university of the Philippines. My wife asked us to go there so we can eat breakfast at cheap Chinese stalls. One of the places that's on our mind that is cheap is this place which sells fried siopao for decades already. There are other stalls also doing the same but this store is the best in taste though the price has increased over the years people are still lining up for their siopao food. That's me on the left wearing blue shirt I am next in line to order their famous siopao. Each piece cost 35 pesos and we bought ten pieces for $7 equivalent or 350 pesos. The siopao is served hot also.

Here's me with other people lining up in the side of the establishment wait patiently for our turn to order the famed siopao. The owner of this place is Chinese like all other establishments here in Chinatown.

My wife and I made our way to the walled city of Intramuros so that we can get to the Binondo area where the oldest Chinatown is located which can only be access using bridges connecting to the Binondo area.

The street sign that is near the church of Binondo. There are many people that went out also yesterday to experience food crawl in different Chinese stores.

One of the stores that we visited too is a Chinese stall that sells fresh vegetables lumpia and this serving cost $2 each. The line of people is also long so we had to wait for almost thirty minutes to get our chance go order. The food is also served hot and we ate it after being served.

The last two shots shows me from behind taken by the wife while we're on our way going back to the parking area so we can go home. I am already holding a plastic bag full of hot siopao which we can't eat yet because it's hot. Part of aging, my cowlick is also the starting point of baldness so I am buying some kind or rosemary oil and spray to combat this😅. Not in the second photo one of the arc on all the bridges connecting the island where Chinatown is.
