
Hello friends! I invite you to try one of my favorite recipes: homemade cakes and pastries made using different methods. Today we'll be preparing a simple cake without whipped cream and using oil. You might be wondering how to make a cake with oil and if it's even possible. 👀 And the truth is, yes! Ever since my grandmother and I first tried this technique on a recipe channel, we were so impressed that we immediately wanted to make one. This is optional if you don't have margarine and want a fluffy sponge cake. I hope you enjoy the recipe I'll be sharing with you today. Let's get started with the ingredients!

- 500 gr de harina de trigo leudante
- Sal al gusto
- 300 ml de leche líquida
- 400 gr de azúcar
- 200 ml de aceite (2 tazas medianas)
- Esencia de vainilla y ralladura de limón
- 2 huevos
- 500g self-raising wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- 300ml milk
- 400g sugar
- 200ml oil (2 medium cups)
- Vanilla extract and lemon zest
- 2 eggs

The first step is very simple, friends, because we will start by taking a giant bowl and separating the egg whites from the yolks. We will reserve the yolks in another separate cup since we will use them later. We will take our whisk or hand mixer and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. We will know it is ready when we lift the mixture and it doesn't fall.

Next, we slowly add the sugar and continue beating until a creamy mixture forms. We then add the reserved egg yolks to the mixture and continue beating for a few more minutes until the ingredients dissolve and small bubbles appear on the surface. It's time to add the next ingredient.

Next, we add the salt, essence, and lemon zest, mix, and slowly add the oil to incorporate it into the mixture. After beating for 3 minutes, we sift the wheat flour to remove any lumps that might prevent the mixture from blending well.

We then proceed to add the previously sifted flour to the mixture and we are going to add the following sequence, a little flour and a little milk, until we run out of ingredients, after mixing for a few minutes, we are going to grease and flour the mold and pour the mixture completely, we put it in the oven at medium heat for 180° so that it can cook well for 45 minutes.
