Iftar is a wonderful moment where you remain hungry and thirsty all day, and finally, when the time of Maghrib (sunset) arrives, the smell of food comes from every house, and at the same time, preparations for iftar are happening everywhere which is very beautiful to see and a good moment throughout the day.

I really like the month of Ramadan, and one of the reasons is the time of iftar. This is the best moment of the day where the foods are going to prepared and the time to open our fastings. Where all the family members gather at the dining table at iftar time, waiting for the call to prayer, and as soon as the Azan happens, everyone gets busy eating.

Certainly, for many people, the word iftar or the month of Ramadan might be a new concept, and many people may not even know about it. Ramadan is one of the Islamic months, and during this month, Muslims fast and express their love for God.

Muslims believe that fasting in this month has been made obligatory for all, and it is essential for us to obey God. Therefore, this month is for fasting and simultaneously worshiping God.

The fast begins early in the morning at around 4 AM, where people wake up and prepare breakfast. Some make tea with milk, others make hot parathas, some make omelets, and others prepare chickpeas and meat (pawa) for breakfast.

The time for sehri is approximately 1.5 hours, and during this time, you can eat and drink anything, but as soon as the Azan begins, eating, drinking, and all forbidden actions must stop.

Then, the whole day will be spent fasting, and worship will be performed. When the time of 4 PM arrives, preparations for Iftar are happening everywhere. This month has a lot of blessings, and every dining table has 3 to 4 types of food served.

Especially dates, parathas, sherbet, and pakoras are a must. This is a common tradition in my city, where people break their fast with pakoras, which is really delicious.

In this way, one fast is completed, and from iftar to sehri, eating and drinking are allowed, and then preparations for the next day's fast begin. This continues for 29 or 30 days, and then the happiness of Eid comes.

The pictures you are seeing are from last nightโ€™s iftar, which was present on our dining table. We had a very delicious iftar with Nihari and Biryani, and ate until we were full. I hope you liked my post.
