Hello, internet people! How are you? Today I want to tell you about a small place I found in my city. It's newly opened and is ideal for having a snack, drinking a refreshing beverage, or enjoying some dessert or pastries with a coffee.
¡Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy quiero hablarles de un lugar pequeñito que encontré en mi ciudad, está recién inaugurado y es ideal para comer una merienda, beber alguna bebida refrescante o degustar algún postre o pastas acompañado de un café.
It's called Dochi Café and Tea, and as the name suggests, they sell coffee and tea, but also refreshing drinks. It's located across from the abandoned chimneys of an old cement factory that was in my town before I was even born, but that structure remains as a reminder of those times, and I also understand that the more daring people use them for paragliding or something like that.
Se llama Dochi Café and Tea, y tal como su nombre lo indica venden café e infusiones, pero también bebidas refrescantes. Está ubicado frente a las chimeneas abandonadas de una vieja fábrica de cemento que había en mi ciudad cuando yo ni siquiera había nacido, pero allí quedó esa estructura como un recuerdo de esos tiempos y también tengo entendido que los más temerarios las usan para practicar parapente o algo así.
Anyway, getting back to the café, I really like it because it has a super kawaii aesthetic, just like me 🤗, hehe. The only downside is how tiny it is; I'd venture to say it's about the size of my room, but I suppose it's designed mainly for you to place your order and enjoy it elsewhere, although luckily we found an empty table 😃. I also love the decor, with teddy bears everywhere; in fact, you can see part of one back there behind me.
En fin, volviendo al tema de la cafetería, me gusta mucho porque tiene una estética super kawaii, como yo 🤗, jeje lo malo es lo pequeñita que es, me atrevería a decir que del tamaño de mi habitación, pero supongo que está diseñada más que todo para que hagas tu pedido y lo disfrutes en otro lugar, aunque nosotras afortunadamente encontramos una mesa vacía 😃. También me gusta el decorado, con ositos de peluche por todos lados, de hecho allá detrás de mi se puede ver parte de uno.
I ordered an iced Bubble Tea, made with black tea, milk, and tapioca pearls. When I saw it, I was completely charmed because the drink came with a cute little white bunny wearing a t-shirt with the brand's logo and name, which I found not only adorable and cute but also a super clever marketing strategy.
Yo ordené un Bubble Tea helado, de te negro con leche y bolitas de tapioca. Cuando lo vi quedé completamente enamorada porque la bebida venía acompañada de un simpático conejito blanco con una camiseta que llevaba el logo y el nombre de la marca, lo que me pareció además de tierno y lindo, una estrategia de marketing super astuta.
However, I'll give you my honest opinion about this drink. I didn't like the tea very much; it seemed to lack flavor, a bit bland. As for the tapioca pearls, I should clarify that it was the first time in my life I'd tried them, so I have no other reference or points of comparison, but I really didn't like the taste 😕. However, to be honest with you, I can't judge whether it's because they were prepared incorrectly, or if that's the flavor they're supposed to have.
Sin embargo les daré mi opinión sincera acerca de esta bebida, el té no me gustó mucho, me parece que carecía de sabor, estaba un poco desabrido, y en cuanto a las bolitas de tapioca, debo aclarar que fue la primera vez en mi vida que las probé, así que no tengo otra referencia ni puntos de comparación, pero realmente no me agradó el sabor 😕, sin embargo para ser sincera con ustedes yo no puedo juzgar si es porque las prepararon de forma incorrecta, o si ese es el sabor que deberían tener realmente.
Anyway, next time I go, I'll think about ordering something else to get a broader perspective on the products the place offers.
De todos modos la próxima ocasión en que yo vaya, pensaré en pedir otra cosa para tener un contexto más amplio de los productos que ofrece el lugar.
