Les cuento que hoy en casa quisimos variar un poco el almuerzo y debido a que tenía poco tiempo para prepararlo le hice una pequeña invitación a Fer para almorzar afuera, el caso es que hoy saliendo de clase me antojé de tomar sopa así que junto a Fer decidimos ir a "las rocas" que es un restaurante donde venden platillos típicos Colombianos.
Al llegar, estaba un poco lleno el lugar ya que era horario de almuerzo, sin embargo, no fue impedimento para que nos dieran un rápido y excelente servicio. Tiene varias zonas para tu mayor comodidad, pero debido al calor nosotros decidimos entrar a la que tenía aire acondicionado. Viendo el menú habían muchísimas opciones deliciosas pero como mi idea principal era una sopa me fui por esta opción, pedí un ajiaco de pollo y Fer, se decidió por una pechuga gratinada con champiñones.
Como entrada decidimos pedir unos deditos de queso que vinieron acompañados de una salsa tipo tártara muy rica, los deditos estaban deliciosos, eran pequeños pero tenían bastante queso. Por otra parte, la chica que nos atendía nos ofreció un 3x2 en cerveza BBC rose tipo michelada, así que decidimos acompañar el almuerzo con eso y sin duda fue una excelente opción ya que nos refrescó a demás de que estaba deliciosa, al final no nos pudimos tomar la tercera por lo que nos dieron la opción de llevarnosla cosas que nos agradó bastante.
El ajiaco venía acompañado con lo típico que es arroz, crema de leche, aguacate y guascas, tenía bastante pollito y aunque tenía buen sabor no fue tanto de mi agrado ya que lo sentí un poco insípido, sin embargo, pude saciar mi antojo de sopa. Por otra parte, el platillo de Fer estaba realmente delicioso y se nota que lo disfrutó.
Al final, pagamos un total de $98.000 pesos colombianos ($23.51 Dólares) incluyendo propina, pasamos un rato diferente y agradable. Por cierto, les recomiendo bastante este restaurante por si llegan de visita a la ciudad de Barranquilla y quieren probar algún plato típico colombiano. The ajiaco came with the typical rice, cream, avocado and guascas, it had a lot of chicken and although it tasted good, I didn't like it as it was a bit tasteless, however, I was able to satisfy my craving for soup. On the other hand, Fer's dish was really delicious and I could tell she enjoyed it.
In the end, we paid a total of $98,000 Colombian pesos ($23.51 USD) including tip, we had a different and pleasant time. By the way, I highly recommend this restaurant in case you come to visit the city of Barranquilla and want to try a typical Colombian dish.
