My entry to Qurator´s Photo Quest: Bottel
Sometimes the bottles are not only containers to keep drinks, but can have a next use as decorative elements that impact the person who enters a local.
This happens every time one enters for the first time in a cider house of the Terra Asturias cider house chain in Asturias (Spain) where the characteristic green color of the cider bottles are used as decorative elements reminiscent of the green of the Asturian mountain pastures.
For those who do not know cider, it is a low alcoholic beverage produced by the alcoholic fermentation of apple juice and is very typical in my region.
Unlike other ciders, it has little carbon and it is traditional to serve it cold, so having a good pool of cold water to cool it, the cider drinker will always appreciate it.
Another characteristic is the peculiar way of serving it, which is called "escanciado". It consists of pouring the cider from the height of the head and collecting it in a wide-mouthed glass and thin glass to break the cider by the impact, which gives it a much better aroma.
For those of you who are worried about getting drunk, there is the option of mixing it with lemon juice, water, sugar, ice and apple pieces to enjoy a delicious cider sangria.
And at Terra Astur restaurant, enjoying the pork and beef is a tradition that I like to repeat every 2 or 3 months with my friend Giuseppe.
Always topping it off with a delicious Tiramisu that, although not Asturian, is also delicious.
Best regards.
