An afternoon of Pizzas, pleasant company and disconnection from the stress of the week... [ENGLISH Only]
Pizza is said to be one of the most delicious culinary preparations in the history of gastronomy. It combines ingredients in a pleasant way that does not interfere with the flavours and senses that the taste buds offer... Moreover, it is literally a blank canvas. In other words, it is a dish that can (and should) always be made with free will. In fact, ingredients such as pineapple or even chocolate have been used in pizzas, and they have both followers and defenders...
In my case, pizza is a means to something else. It's a companion for Nerflix nights, or when the week has been hard... But it's also the link to the person I love, beyond my daughter; my partner. We both love this food and feel really good eating it. Maybe that was the reason we decided to go out yesterday afternoon and have lunch together. We went to a relatively new place in town and ate what we love.... The fascinating thing is that on this occasion, we decided to have a date at an unusual and new place...
Not that this is a bad thing, but it is unusual for our routines. But definitely, sometimes breaking the monotony and routine, with really simple things, is the best solution. I needed to talk about other things, everything but Excel columns and customer billing schedules... I even set my mobile phone to ‘aeroplane mode’ as soon as we left the house for the restaurant. I didn't need another ringtone (even if it was vibrating) on my phone. Total disconnection was the premise.
Frankly, I highly recommend that when you go on a date, or meet up with friends or your partner, the best way to enjoy the little details and everything that is available to you with your loved one will be so much more worthwhile than the overwhelming distraction of social media and email.... This world of technology and hustle and bustle, with its pros and cons, seems fantastic to me, although the levels of anxiety and inattention to others makes me very intolerant...
However, the pizza, the right words and being next to that pampering man, made all the heaviness and anguish, which I am sure also happens to many women and men going through the stress of repetitive work, has made me appreciate what human connections produce in us..... You know, as I said earlier, pizza is the medium. Sometimes for simple things, sometimes as a synonym for pleasure and craving, and sometimes as an excuse to be able to write about an experience with food and love as a couple? I don't know if this was the best of my posts, but at least it's more substantial in terms of what I felt and what I wanted to convey. P.S: I always feel more inspired after being by his side, with him, no matter what we are doing....
