Even with the enforcement of punishments; such as imprisonment, fines, community service, and the likes of death sentence, we still see people committing crimes. The very things punishment was meant to discourage. So, why are people still engaging in crimes even with punishments in place? Does punishment work? Is it sufficient to stop crime?

One of the many reasons why people commit crimes is because they think they are smart and can bypass every law in the country, instead of investing that time in something good.
