Various delicious dry cake preparations that can be tried at home, such as this one, namely elephant ear cake. This is my first elephant ear cake, I have never made it myself before, I only saw it in supermarkets.
Elephant ear cake is a dry food made by frying. This cake is usually made from flour, granulated sugar, condensed milk and butter. After being kneaded, the dough is divided into two parts. One is given coloring or other flavors, and the other is the original flavor (without flavoring). Elephant ear cake has various flavors, ranging from chocolate, mocha paste to vanilla. This time I want to use chocolate as a flavoring.
Elephant ear cake has a unique name, right! However, the name is in accordance with its original shape which is thin and wide and its sweet, delicious and crunchy taste, very interesting to fill your jar at home.
Dry food is usually often provided on certain days such as big day celebrations, to welcome and accompany warm moments when gathering with family and friends. Well, here's how I make it!

Fourth: then take the chocolate dough and divide it into 3 parts to be flattened. Likewise with the white or original dough. Put the chocolate dough on top of the flattened white dough and stick it together. Roll the dough. Do it until finished. Put it in a closed place to be stored in the refrigerator for 3 hours

A little advice from me, it is better to store the dough in the freezer for 3-4 hours, then after that it can be cut thinly
Fifth: after that, take the dough and cut it thinly. Do it until finished

Sixth: heat the oil for frying, preferably using a lot of oil. Put in the cakes one by one so they don't stick. Fry over low heat until they are slightly brown. Remove and drain.

My first elephant ear cake is done. After it cools down a bit, I put it in a jar and it's ready to be served. My homemade elephant ears are a bit less thin and wide, not in accordance with the original shape, but in my opinion, the taste is very successful, it tastes good, and is crunchy. For starters, it can be said that this is a success.

I think I know why my cake is not too thin, because when I took it from the refrigerator, the dough was not too hard so it couldn't be cut thinly. It should be because the dough is cut quite thick, after cutting the cake is helped with a rolling machine again, or you can use a rolling pin or something to get the desired cake. Okay, next time I will try to make it again with a better shape.
See you in the next post, friends hivers
