In this walking with God, there has to be a level of humility. In order for God to help us, we must humble ourselves before him.
Spiritual warfare is hard..Sometimes it's unbearable, but when you acknowledge what it is that is holding you bound, the moment you acknowledge what it is that is a stronghold in your life, it is the moment God is going to step in and help you.
The Bible tells us that a broken and contrite heart, God will not despise. God had mercy on David because of his heart, he repented for his ways. David knew and he acknowledged what he did and he turned from it. And this is the moment God stepped in.
The very thing that God wanted to do to David, he didn't because of the heart David had. The moment you acknowledge your sins, and whatever is holding you, and you give it to God is the moment God can help you.
But that takes a level of humility. That takes a level of knowing what it is that you are truly struggling in. Don't fight with whatever it is that is holding you because then you become rebellious and you become stubborn. And then God cannot come in.
God will have mercy on you when you humble yourself.
