Ingredients
For the Chicken:
🍗 5 small chicken breasts
🌽 2 tablespoons corn starch for the chicken
🍚 1 tablespoon rice vinegar for the chicken
🥢 2 tablespoons soy sauce for the chicken
🌶️ 1/2 teaspoon white or black pepper for the chicken
🫒 6 tablespoons oil divided between the veggies and chicken
For the Veggies:
🧅 1 large onion
🧄 5 cloves of garlic, minced
🌿 2 tablespoons minced ginger
🥦 1 lb green beans, trimmed and cut in half
🌶️ Dried chilies to taste
For the Sauce:
🍗 1 cup chicken broth
🥢 3 tablespoons soy sauce
🌑 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
🦪 1/3 cup oyster sauce
🌽 1 tablespoon corn starch
Instructions
1- Prep the Veggies:
- Cut the onion into large chunks.
- Mince the garlic and ginger.
- Trim and halve the green beans. Set aside.
2- Marinate the Chicken:
- Slice the chicken into thin, bite-sized strips.
- In a large bowl, mix the chicken with corn starch, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and pepper.
- Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
3- Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and corn starch. Set aside.
4- Cook the Veggies:
- Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Stir fry the green beans for about 2 minutes.
- Add the onions, garlic, ginger, and dried chilies. Stir fry for another 3 minutes. Remove from wok.
5- Cook the Chicken:
- In the same wok, add 2 tablespoons of oil.
- Cook half of the chicken until fully cooked (internal temperature should be 165°F).
- Remove and repeat with the remaining chicken.
