Too Much Screen Time And It’s Challenges with possible solution.

I’m sure many people reading this post are also people who spend so much time on their screens, looking for a place to get a solution to that problem. As a person, I’m someone who spends so much time on the screen, both on my mobile screen and my laptop screen, and I have found some solutions to help everyone battle with this problem, but before I go on telling you the solution you seek, I’ll like to tell you about my screen time.

I went through the statistics of my screen time on my phone, and it says I spend more than 11 hours on my mobile screen.

This is an issue I have been battling. It’s not like I’m addicted to my mobile phone or anything, but as a young adult, I’m always out there looking for all kinds of opportunities that will help me better my life. I don’t want to wake up one morning, and I got to know that while I was sleeping, some opportunities had passed me by. Some people might say I’m being paranoid about everything, but I don’t think that’s the issue.

There are so many people out there who can relate to what I’m saying. I’m not saying it’s healthy, but there is time for everything, and I believe this is the time to work it all out.

After checking my sleeping schedule for a month, I knew I was doing something wrong to my body. I sleep just 5 hours every day for a month.

This is to show that after I’m done with my mobile screen time, I focus on my big laptop screen. For the past two weeks, I have noticed I have been having some sort of head pain and headaches. It hasn’t even made me very active on hives like I used to be. I made a complaint one day when I was on a Discord group chat and a friend, @sabrinah, asked the amount of time I spent on the screen. This was a few days ago.

It was then that I realised that could be the cause of my headaches.

Here are some of the tips I have integrated lately to help me reduce the amount of time I spend facing the screen.
I set an auto-switch-off timer on my phone. Immediately, it’s 11:30 p.m. My phone has a 5-second timer to warn me of the auto-off power, and it goes on itself at 6 a.m.

I take a stroll every evening of the day to get some fresh air and help me clear my mind from the things I have seen on the screen.

I visit friends, talk about some other things, and have fun while dropping my phone at home. Although I have a set amount of time to spend at each location,.

This tip has helped me greatly, and I hope someone reading it will learn something from it.

Haa, i screamed when I saw 11 hours on your screen but is too much nah,and also you slept for five hours every day for a month, I think that's the reason for your headache. But you know that sometimes our body needs rest also.

Yeah, I know right.
11hours is so much time for real and I saw someone here that is using 16hours

oh don't worry I don't think it's that bad. There's a lot of things to be done on the screen :'). I'm also guilty for spending a lot of hours.

well if it's part of our work not really much we can do right O.O and do we just give up our hobbies? I don't know if i could give up watching shows / gaming on my free time outside of work :P

Aside from the amount of time you spend on screens, lack of adequate sleep also contributed to that headache. It's something I have experienced a lot back in the university, especially during exam periods where I read mostly at night and have an average of 3 hours of sleep in a week

Yeah, you’re right . The lack of sleep also contributed.

And school time ehnn. It would be happening to us but we won’t feel like cause we are already used to it

Now I have found someone to compete with 😅.
I believe our personality influences the amount of time we spend on screen, I mean for someone who doesn't enjoy outdoor activities. Such person will definitely spend more time on screen than others.

Speaking of opportunities available online which can be assessed through our smart devices, is a different league entirely. If I'm being honest, I have made more money with my phone compared to any salary I have ever been paid.

The auto power off used to work for me sometimes but there are times I will wake up in the night and I will still power on my phone 😂😂

Yeah. People like us that don’t like going out. Everything we need is on our phone and inside the house so why do we need to go out and also

For the opportunities, there are so numerous out there that we can’t even compare

There are times when the auto power off will start its count down and I will stop it so the phone won’t shut down. 🤣🤣🤣

Those are great tips which I'm quite sure will be very effective.
That you spend 11 hours on your phone daily scares me to my bone marrow. Luckily, you are already making changes 😊.
