I got the few things picked in the garden in the morning yesterday then had to gather tools and supplies for the job.
Little bits were floating around the region and around 9am we got a few minutes of rain as the storm blew past.
The boys and I loaded up in the car and headed down to work on the water feature that has been losing water for a long time. The boys did great job helping move the rocks all around and we managed to remove a good amount of the felt from atop the pond liner.
The asshats who built the feature originally did a shit job. The pond liner was a big piece folded into quarters and this side has the main folds. Those main folds had become the low spot so the only thing I could do was to move rock inside and pull the liner inwards which raised the edge of it up. Filled in the gap behind and then reset the rocks. I was hoping to get more felt out but there is a lot of rock.
We got it all back together then stopped by Bill's a couple doors up to talk about the jobs he has for me. We headed for home and I stopped to get McD's as a reward for the boys. By the time we got home my body was screaming at me in pain.
First spud sale of 40 pounds. Took them across the highway to meet at the post office.
I got the new handle for my reserve parachute. I'll dink with it later and swap it out as it takes a bit of doing.
The freeze dryer finished the load of cucumbers which I took out and set on the counter. I was in zero mood to deal with them and by the evening I noticed they had sucked in moisture so the whole batch will go back in this morning to finish it off fully.
It was silly the way the boys' school supplies arrived. This huge bag then had 3 paper bags inside filled with the various items. Everything was pretty much in the bags so it just looked like it was going to be a mess. Everything sorted between them they are about ready for school starting next week.
Out poking around the garden I popped off a watermelon and noticed a couple pumpkins back behind.
I have quite a few pumpkins growing so it will be interesting to dig around and find them in a month or so.
The acorn squash are growing nicely and there are a bunch hidden in the mass.
My whole day was spent in agony as my back has my elbow feeling like a hot poker is inserted in the joint. I made it out to the truck for a bit and retested a couple cylinders. I got a reading on the #4 and then this on the #6.
The parts began coming off so I can get to the head. Going to check to top side first but the likelihood is it's coming out again.
@stryeyz brought dinner home and I fought the pain for the evening. Thankfully I have my chiro appointment this morning, I really need to get PT scheduled soon especially now that this pain is so omnipresent. At least the numbness has not hit as often.
