Nasi Lemak at Orchard Gateway

It's been a while since I last ate a nice Nasi Lemak so I went to my favorite spot in the Somerset area; the Eat Alley!

For S$9.80, I have high hopes that this dish will be something that will satisfy my cravings. It didn't disappoint. This is still one of the best Nasi Lemak that I sold in a hawker food center. Although, the location is not considered a hawker center because it is located inside a shopping mall. The stall is in the basement level of Orchard Gateway Shopping Mall.

I reached the place around 8:30 in the evening and I felt lucky that there was available Nasi Lemak. If I arrived a few minutes late then all of the stalls could have closed for the night.

I ordered the basic version of the Nasi Lemak which is the fried chicken version.

All of the ingredients in this dish were pre-cooked except for the fried egg. It was cooked fresh upon ordering so it looked awesome. This is the perfect egg on top of this set of food.

One thing that made this dish interesting is the combination of textures of the different items on this plate. I think everything in this dish fits well with each other. The thick sauce on the side also contributes to the taste as well. It has a sweetness to it. It's rich and it's a bit spicy.

The dried anchovies and peanuts add crunch and nice flavor to the dish. I think that whoever thought of this dish has good knowledge about flavor and texture.

This is one of my favorite versions of Nasi Lemak. I was 100% satisfied with my experience. I'll be back soon!

My journey to the world of food.

Power! The chicken looks good. If you complete your meal with lime juice, it will be perfect.
