I am not able to understand from where to start writing, I have written many times blog in #foodiesbeehive but always writing about my recipe but for the first time I am sharing special food of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. In my last blog I have gone to visit Jodhpur, so today in this blog I would like to share about the speciality of food which is available in Jodhpur.

Rajasthan, the 'Land of the Kings(Maharajas)' located in the north-western part of India, is famous for it's culture, handicrafts traditions and flavours. The region, with its sandy landscapes with camel as of the mode of transport, famous forts and mesmerizing traditions, offers a rich and loyal lifestyle which is totally diverse in cuisine as its heritage – all in the Rajasthani thali.

Kachori & Jalebi

In jodhpur, a kachori is known for its unique taste and traditional preparation style. It is typically a deep-fried pastry filled with a spicy mixture of lentils, aromatic spices, and onions.

I have eaten samosas many times. In fact, I should say that I eat samosas every second or third day because it is available here in every village, town and everywhere, but this samosa is very delicious and was made in pure desi ghee, till today I Have never eaten anything so tasty and yummy.

If you are in Jodhpur and have not eaten the samosa of this shopkeeper, then you missed one of the best thing in your trip.

Rajasthani Thaali

Let you know what does Rajasthani Thali is all about, Rajasthani thali is an extraordinary mix of several dishes served in small bowls (katori) on a round Platter. The concept of thali food severed back to ancient Indian traditions to kings, where different tastes combination of sweet, salty, bitter, sour, spicy) were balanced to create a complete meal, which is believed to promote overall health. .

If I tell you the truth, my stomach was already got full after seeing such a big plate, I was not able to understand where to start, every time waiters came and added a new dish into my plate, there were so many dishes to taste, I got confused as to where to start, I gave the ultimate, Now I won't be able to eat,as it was not possible for me to finished it, There was rule of the restaurant that you can eat your plate only, you cannot share plate(thaali) with anyone, so I had to finish eating whatever was on my plate and I did not want to waste the food. The food was superb delicious, cooked in traditional way,While eating food, I was feeling very proud as if I was the queen of some kingdom.

You can see in the photos that my bowl is still empty, because i don't want to take anymore.

Rajasthani food I find it heavy to digest but I love it. There are some Dhabas on the outskirts of Mumbai where you get some amazing traditional food, once in a while I do enjoy it
