On this #ThreeTuneTuesday joint post we thought we’d try something different. Picking a year (2000) and 3 albums released that year and we’d each pick a tune Dom each album and see if we ended up picking same at all. We didn’t so you got 6 fresh tracks! Let’s go!
First up it’s Eve 6 second record “Horoscope”
I remember buying this album the day it came out at a Sam Goody in Westchester county NY (White Plains). I loved the first record released in 1998 2.5 years earlier. This record is on a production level way way different from the first album (which u prolly know the song Inside Out f the first album) It’s produced on a level just way above the first and personally I liked it a lot but I did understand why some fans thought it was over produced. Ashlee unlike me just knew the singles from this Album but she loves the song Promise…

Next up it’s Good Charlotte’s first album simply titled “Good Charlotte”
Unlike the mainstream who discovered Good Charlotte on there mega huge second album 2002’s Young & Hopeless, me and Ashlee both discovered Good Charlotte 18 months before radio and MTV did. We both saw them open up for one of our fav bands (MxPx) and personally I saw Good Charlotte like ten times before they blew up famous. Just great guys all around and the nicest band I ever met. I even got to sing on stage with them in fall 2001 at CBGB’s in NYC. Unfortunately it was long before IPhones and no video exists but the memory sure does…

Third and final pick is Goldfinger’s third album 2000’s “Stomping Ground”
A album that had great production and song writing but just didn’t get the mainstream success many other bands of similar vibes got at this time. I (Gene) was a big fan of there first two albums and bought this CD 💿 the day it came out. Ashlee also owned this record in 2000 and was a fan…
