Exhaustion. That I am even posting is actually odd, I should be sleeping. Since Wednesday I have been going full send and then some.
It all started when we left the ranch, the hubs in front of me towing a tilt trailer with a Tool Cat on it, me behind him in the Jeep. We were heading down to our farm to do three months mowing in three days, but as it is us, we can never just do one big job, nope, gotta throw in a couple crises and an extra dusting of hullaballoo.
Before that evening was over my Jeep had a caliper completely seize, I had to be towed, and worst/best of all the hubs ended up in the ER. He is thankfully okay, better than okay actually, let's just say that the side effects of hardcore military service have caught up with his stubborn carcass and we are addressing it.
That was just half of day one.

I then proceeded to weedeat, mow, and weed like a person who had the god of garden maintenance on their tail, slapping them with nettles and Devil's club. I cannot even begin to describe to you all how hard I worked in the heat. At the same time I was readying our travel trailer for the visiting homeopath I am letting stay in there during The Homesteaders Conference in CDA they are being a vendor at. I don't even know her, but I do know my neighbor, and they were both classmates in the same training, so you know, helping people out is a good thing.
Then there were the fun things too. A Game Night like the days of old took place Friday night, @jacobtothe brought me the coolest Fairy commander deck to play, even though I got interrupted by arriving Zoomers who demanded my attentions and exhaustion got the best of me. I really want to play that deck again JT!!!

My son got a tiny bit of leave and came over for Father's Day weekend, we all went to eat at a local restaurant Saturday, Sunday I BBQ'd for my Dad and the hubs. Monday we spent all day on the road back to the ranch, in between there were many stops, many tasks, many texts, many phone calls.
Today, I am diminished. I really would like to fade into the West.
And honestly, I have no choice, I am completely done in. My legs don't even want to work. I am going to do the unfamiliar, and honestly almost unthinkable, and return to bed, for the rest of the day. I am just out of it.
This morning as I looked out on the lake, I saw a huge log had become a floating bird perch. It's like a little Noah's Ark floating serenely about the lake, and there's not less than half a dozen birds just chilling on it, voyaging to nowhere.

I am going to join the birds, it's just my log bed is going to be my floating log for the durations.
Hello rest time!!
