These Are the Best Cookies in the World 🍪 [Recipe]

Hello Hive!

There are as many cookie recipes as there are grandmothers. Some are better than others. The one I appreciate the most is not from a grandmother, but from my partner.

The first time she made me taste one of her cookies, I believe it was during the lockdown. At the same time, 80% of the world's population turned to music, hairstyling, and cooking, actually haha.

It's particularly good. With a nice glass of milk and in front of a good movie, it's the perfect snack!

Here is the recipe:

The ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 80 grams of white sugar
  • 120 grams of brown sugar
  • 200 grams of butter
  • 360 grams of flour
  • Vanilla flavoring
  • Chocolate chips
  • A pinch of fleur de sel

The Recipe

What's great about cookies and other similar cakes is that they are really easy to make.

The first step is to put the white sugar and the brown sugar into a large mixing bowl.

Next, simply take the butter, cut it into pieces, quickly microwave it until it's soft, and then incorporate it into the mixture.

To incorporate it, we initially used a whisk. But it's clearly the worst kitchen utensil for this task. So, we ended up using our hands.

Then, nothing too complicated, add the two eggs.

Then the flour...

...and the salt.

I said a pinch of salt, but I put in four. I love coming across little salty bits when I eat cookies. It feels like finding little treasures!

Next, just add the chocolate chips. If you can, it's better to use chocolate bars and chop them into small pieces yourself.

For the final touch, we added pecan nuts. It's not mandatory, but it adds a bit more indulgence!

And finally, on a baking sheet, we formed small, sufficiently spaced disks so they don't touch each other during baking.

For the disks, we recommend making them thick. This way, they'll be soft on the inside.

And by the way, regarding baking, it's only 11 minutes at 160°C (320°F). So, it's very, very quick!

Our little preparation begins to melt with pleasure. 😋 At this point, I can tell you it starts to smell very good.

... And 11 minutes later, all that's left is to pour a glass of milk and dip a cookie... or two... or three.

If you have liquid vanilla, we recommend adding a good amount. We didn't have any on hand, but it's what gives the cookies a beautiful color.

For your cookies to be really soft, don't hesitate to make the discs really thick.

You'll see that after 11 minutes, you'll want to add 5 more minutes of baking. But don't do it. Anyway, the inside of the cookie will continue to cook a bit from the heat of the cookie.

They look delicious! And only 11 minutes baking is nothing. I'm wondering if it will work in an airfryer. Maybe I should give it a try!

Funny, there's a big hype around the airfryer. I suppose if you're talking about it, you must have one? If so, is it any good? I'm looking to buy one right now. But like anything that a lot of people buy, you hear a lot of different opinions.

I honestly believe it is perfect for the Van 😂 I know most people don't agree but I did even bake cake in it. Mine is from Lidl and uses just 800 a 900 watt so it is usable in the van on the sunny days :)

Yes, I'd started looking at the power to see if we could buy one. But in the end, we could only use it a few times, at weekends and if the weather's nice. During the week, we have to work and really need our electricity.

That said, in addition to my solar system, I got myself a 2kwh capacity ecoflow battery for really cheap. So now I have a lot more storage. So why not...

Your cookies looks yummy😋 Thanks for sharing this recipe. I’m surely saving your post so I can come back to it later.

Did you see my mushroom cookies?

I had never made cookies before. I can see why I don't... I just eat the whole freaking jar.

I just saw, I had missed it.

Haha, I totally get what you mean. Every time they have a "come back for more" taste 😆
