The reason to not remove skins is to help them store longer. What variety did you like best?

Ah I just took off the first layer covered in dirt.. hopefully that was not too much.
The kit I got comes with:
1 bulb of Elephant Garlic (conventional)
3 bulbs of California Late White (softneck)
3 bulbs of Music (hardneck)
3 bulbs of Russian Red (hardneck)
3 sets of French Red Shallots (organic)
Honestly I have not tried them all yet.. and not sure I can tell the difference.
Looking forward to trying the music garlic the most, as that is what we are going to be growing on a large scale.
Many people love Music, but I've never grown it. Up until 2 years ago the German Extra hardy did well here so I never changed.
