Here's my entry for the BeerSaturday 408 with a NEIPA brewed by Vagabond, a Quebec microbrewery. It's called Paradise sur Terre (Paradise on Earth), and I particularly like this type of beer in winter when the weather is a bit grey or white. It brings me a big glass of sunshine 😀. Normally with the fine weather setting in, well not this weekend (grey and rainy), I'll be featuring less and less NEIPA. Lighter, more refreshing beers will take their place.

Voici ma participation au BeerSaturday 408 avec une NEIPA brassée par Vagabond, une microbrasserie québécoise. Il s'agit de la Paradis sur Terre, j'aime particulièrement ce type de bière en hiver quand la météo est un peu grise ou blanche. Cela apporte un grand verre de soleil 😀. Normalement avec les beaux jours qui s'installent, enfin pas ce weekend (gris et pluvieux), je vais présenter de moins en moins de NEIPA. Des bières plus légères et rafraichissants vont prendre leur place.

I didn't have much information when I introduced some weeks ago the Lovely, a red ale, at BeerSaturday 372. And that's still the case, the [Vagabond] brewery(https://bierevagabond.com/) was founded by Olivier Bouvrette around 2016 with a rather unique concept: nomad brewer. The beers are inspired during travels and encounters often in a van with their motorcycle: Life waits for no one. Another interesting point is that the brewery offers amateur brewers the chance to brew their own recipes on their premises. Cool concept...

Je n'avais pas beaucoup d'information lorsque j'ai présenté la Lovely, une bière rousse, lors du BeerSaturday 372. Et c'est toujours le cas, la brasserie Vagabond a été fondée par Olivier Bouvrette vers 2016 avec un concept assez unique : brasseur nomade. Les bières sont inspirées lors des voyages et des rencontres souvent en van avec leur moto : La vie n'attend pas. Autre point intéressant, la brasserie offre la possibilité aux brasseurs amateurs de brasser leurs propres recettes dans leur installation. Cool concept...

🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :

Paradis sur Terre is a NEIPA with 6% alcohol and a IBU of 21, i.e. light bitterness. It's hopped with Nectaron Cryo, Ekuanot and the more traditional Citra and Cascade. In the glass, we find a beautiful orange-yellow color with a light white foam. On the palate, it's a little less creamy than a traditional New England India Pale Ale, and also less fruity. Interesting to drink.

La Paradis sur Terre est une NEIPA avec 6% d'alcool avec un IBU de 21 c'est à dire amertume légère. Elle a été houblonnée avec du Nectaron Cryo, Ekuanot et plus traditionnel Citra et Cascade. Dans le verre, nous retrouvons une belle robe jaune orangée avec une mousse légère blanche. En bouche, elle est un peu moins crémeuse qu'une New England India Pale Ale traditionnelle et aussi un côté moins fruité. Intéressant à boire.

Vagabond Paradis sur Terre

The design of the brewery Vagabond is standard for each beer, with the logo at the top, followed by an illustration, often quite beautiful, with the name of the beer and its type. Perfect for making the right choice. On the back, there's a short story about the beer's origin, as well as the hops and malts used. I really like this kind of information, as it teaches you about the taste of different hops, a bit like wine grape varieties.

Le design de la brasserie Vagabond est standard pour chaque bière avec le logo en haut, suivi d'une illustration, souvent assez belle, avec le nom de la bière et son type. Parfait pour bien choisir. Au dos, on retrouve une petite histoire sur l'origine de la bière ainsi que les houblons et les malts utilisés. J'aime beaucoup ces indications, on apprend comme cela le gout des différents houblons, un peu comme les cépages pour le vin.
