The 30 temptations deal with how Satan hinders men's conversion. The 10 temptations, on the other hand, have something to do with Satan convincing men that their sins are nothing but human infirmities. Interestingly, Baxter accompanied these two classes of temptations with spiritual directions serving as remedies.
