A country that is quite closed and without any information, but is located in Southeast Asia, is Myanmar. Deciding to go to this country is not without reason, even though it looks like a suicide mission. Myanmar is not an easy country to visit, but, I am so curious about this country.
After arriving from a long night flight, we didn't have enough time to walk around, so last night we went straight to the hotel and without buying a sim card, we only exchanged a little money at the airport.
Then, this morning I looked for a sim card and walked around in the morning while enjoying the morning in Yangon city. Quite excited and there are many things that I can explore. One of them is the food in Yangon city, of course their snacks.
Even though it was still very early, I saw people very busy selling various foods. They say the food in Myanmar is very delicious, they have various types of food, of course because this country is a combination of many ethnicities such as India, China, Asia and others.
Seeing someone across the street very busy, there was street food that they said was always there in the morning. It was very crowded, but I was focused on a woman with a mini pan that looked like she was making serabi. In Malaysia, this is called ‘apem balik’ but here I don’t know what they call it. The language barrier that occurred made me not know what to call this food.
But wait, you can see that the old woman cooked it with a pan and used charcoal. Simple but I was very interested. This became one of my favorites, especially since it turned out that the dough was similar to pancakes, with nuts and a few vegetables. Of course, this seems like a type of plant-based food. From what I know, the food here is mostly made from plant-based, even the other foods I found after this pancake.
I found food like this on the street. Samosa and cakwe. I am very familiar with the shape, but I don’t know another type that is similar to cakwe. If Korea has tteok, well that’s like that. It tastes sweet and savory, because there is a mixture of more sugar than salt. But, it is also a delicious food.
Getting 1 cakwe for 500 kyats, is quite cheap. But you should know for sure that 500 kyats is cheap depending on the dollar you exchange. If you buy it in the black market, then it must be very cheap.
Samosa. Of course you have to try samosa in Yangon. The taste is absolutely fantastic. Samosa in Indonesia is not as interesting as this. Why is it interesting? Because of the taste! Lots of spices used, lots of vegetable filling.

Call me Isdarmady, sometimes Mady, Putra or anything you want. I have a pretty long name but call me very nicely. There are many things I like, especially hydroponics and coffee, sometimes I also like traveling and eating whatever I want. Life should be like that, there must be many things you like so you can live well. Of course, what you want is a dream, so, when you have a dream then what you have to do is to achieve that dream, don't just let it be a dream.
