RE: A Burger Against the Power Cut

Do you have options for affordable power outage preparation? Around here, many people have generators for electricity during storms. Trees can fall on power lines, and even ice buildup can cause problems. The storm may pass long before electricity is restored. Gasoline storage is necessary, though. I also know folks who live off-grid and use a blend of solar and wind power to charge battery banks for night-time use. These aren't cheap, obviously.

Generators aren't cheap to keep around. Plus, the usual hot weather is pretty and to store gasoline. Some neighbors have these things and the fumes they generate forces the rest to keep widows and doors closed when there are powers cuts.
