I saw some pre-cooked, frozen pork carnitas meat on sale at the store, but it was three times the price of a pork roast I can season and slow-cook myself. Should I follow this recipe, or do you have a better suggestion?

My suggestion is: eat. 😅

I always start with a recipe then I tweak as needed. I've found that most recipes can always use improvement

It sounds like a nice plan.

I think any homemade meat will taste just as good as frozen supermarket meat :)

I've never tried meat this way.
