Hi guys, it’s Jess here again! 😊
I hope I get your support as I begin sharing my journey here in this community.
I’ve been living here in Guindulman for almost 12 years. Because of limited resources, I don’t get to explore our very own town often. But today, I’m grateful. As I look back over the years, I feel so blessed to finally seize this moment to explore my hometown again.
Today was a special day—and I’m truly thankful to the person behind this story.
We’re having a kids’ camp at Bunhayag, and Ate Jean assigned me to buy materials needed for the games, as well as prizes. Ate Betty, one of the kids’ teachers, kindly accompanied me to the department store.
After buying everything we needed, we stopped by one of the snack bars behind the supermarket. It’s quite well-known in this area, so we decided to have our snacks there.
They offer both medium and large boxes of pizza. While we were waiting, I took a photo of their pizza sizes.
I also noticed an area offering different kinds of noodles. I’m not exactly sure if they were Japanese or Korean, but they seemed pretty popular. What’s great is that they also offer rice and drinks along with the noodles.
Later on, my strawberry milk tea arrived—it was a mix of sweet and sour, but actually really good!
Then the pizza was served—hot, crispy, and so crunchy! It was Hawaiian flavor, and I think I ate about five slices! I was super full, happy, and just thankful for that kind of moment.
After enjoying the food and snapping a few pictures of our snacks, we chilled a bit before finishing off all the slices. The pizza looked so good, and yes—we definitely ate it all.
It was such a great snack time, and I also had a meaningful conversation with Ate Betty. I learned a lot from her. After filling our tummies, we decided to take a short walk before heading home.
While strolling, we saw the ocean—it was calm and peaceful. We also spotted a boat with many shirts hanging on it! I was surprised and asked Ate Betty about it. Apparently, that’s a common thing here, but it was my first time seeing it!
Nearby is the Guindulman Playground, along with a sign that says “I ❤️ Guindulman”—with the heart in place of the word “love.”
The playground was built just last July 2024. It was our first time visiting, and it’s located behind the municipal town hall. That’s probably why it isn’t very well-known or easy to access yet—but we were happy to have found it!
Here’s a peek at the groceries we bought for the upcoming kids’ camp—including ready-to-cook snacks like Kropek.
Later that day, I also attended a bridal shower (which I’ve already written about in my first blog post—hehe 😄). It was such a fun afternoon. Everything felt exciting, especially knowing the kids' camp is just around the corner. I can’t wait to meet the other kids from the upper part of Bunhayag!
I thank God for the safe trip, the provision for everything we needed, and all the blessings of the day.
That’s all for today’s story.
Thanks so much for stopping by. God bless you all—and thank you for your support! 💖
