RE: MOVING/ ROADTRIP to a new COUNTRY ๐Ÿงณ ๐Ÿ“ฆ ๐Ÿš— Part 7 ~ SNOW and ICY LAKES โ„๏ธ, SUNSETS and SUNRISES ๐ŸŒ„

Did you fit chains โ›“๏ธ for the Tyre or it was just a snow Tyre?

Sort: ย

As we knew we had most of the journey snow, so we got snow tires. Here they are obligated to be fitted from october to april/ mei. So half year summer tires and half year winter tires.

You canโ€™t drive on chains โ›“๏ธ hereโ€ฆ but you can use them when you got stuck in the snow to pull you out. Or when a hill / mountain is icy and to help you get up.
Most locals have stubs (iron spikes) in their winter tires. As they are needed most of the winter.

Okay great, that makes sense when I went to Queenstown last month where I shared photos about my first snowfall experiences we were advised to use โ›“๏ธ for our tyres, we ended up not using it but I had mine in my vehicle and don't know how to fit it ๐Ÿคฃ

It will help you out a lot, knowing how to get them around. Let a colleague show you. ๐Ÿ˜
